Campus Advocates

Hi everyone! My name is Alice (she/her) and I am a junior from Concord, NH majoring in Public Policy Analysis/Sociology. I became a Campus Advocate to be a survivor-centered resource for my peers and to help promote a school environment that makes all students feel safe and supported, especially those who have experienced harm. Outside of academics and my time with the CARES team, I love going to concerts, being outside at the beach or by a lake, and spending time with friends. Summer is my favorite time of year, but fall in the Northeast is a close second. 

Hi! My name is Eleanor Farry from London, UK. I am currently a junior and am planning on majoring in neuroscience and media studies. I am really excited to be working as a campus advocate this year because I want to help create a non-judgmental supportive space where survivors and allies are listened to and empowered. Outside of my advocacy work I love watching movies at the laemmle, going on night walks, making collages and spending time with my friends. My favorite time of year is the fall. I look forward to being a part of the CARES office this year!

Hi! My name is Evelyn and I'm a junior majoring in Environmental Analysis with a minor in Psychological Science from Houston, Texas. I chose to be a campus advocate because I'm passionate about creating empowering spaces to process emotions, heal, and connect with fellow students. In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga, spin cycling, and spending time in the sun with friends. My favorite time of year is summer, even though it's really hot in Texas and California. 

Hello! My name is Lana Ravelo and I am a sophomore at Pomona hoping to major in chemistry. I chose to be a campus advocate to be able to support people and provide them with resources so that they can get the help that best supports them. It’s also important to me to contribute to creating a safer space for my peers. Outside of school, I love to spend time with friends and family, watch movies, and read. I’m hoping to study chemistry this year. My favorite time of the year is summer because I love the weather and can go home and spend time with my family. Also, my birthday is in the summer! 

My name is Matt Eichner (he/him) and I am a sophomore studying mathematics and English. I decided to become a campus advocate to make a difference in the community and help to create a campus environment in which everyone is able to fully be themselves and pursue their passions. In addition to my academic pursuits, I am also a pitcher for the Pomona-Pitzer baseball team, and I enjoy playing the cello, juggling, and reading in my free time. My favorite time of the year is fall, especially back home in the mountains before the snow comes. 

Hi, I'm Randy! I'm currently majoring in Africana studies with a minor in French. I became a campus advocate because I care about helping other people. Whether it be a listening ear or pointing people towards resources. I'm dedicated to making sure that everyone feels safe within the community. In my free time, I like to read, write, and spend quality time with loved ones! 

Hi, I'm Satena! I became an advocate to learn more about the Title IX process and play an active role in ensuring my peers are getting the support they deserve. In my free time I listen to music, draw, shop, and go to the beach. I’m studying Psychology, Gender/Women’s Studies, and Africana Studies. I like spring and fall because the weather is usually in between too hot and too cold. 

Hi all, and welcome to our CARES campus advocate page. I’m Sydney, and I’m a sophomore at Pomona who is originally from Montana! I am a prospective PPA major, looking to concentrate in either Politics or Economics. In high school, I volunteered as a community engagement coordinator with my local domestic violence shelter, and the experience inspired me to advocate for survivors directly. In my free time, I enjoy sleeping, gardening, shopping, doing yoga, listening to music, and partying with my friends! My favorite time of year is either early fall (pumpkin spice season) or late spring, when I can witness the Earth’s renewal! Feel free to stop in at The Heart Center to say hi. Hello! My name is Wade Lawson, I am a sophomore from Nashville, Tennessee. I became a campus advocate because I really wanted to make a difference in the Pomona and 5C community. I wanted to do something where I can help people, and create a lasting impact on both the community and individuals. In my free time I like to play baseball, go to concerts, play the piano, and get groovy on the dance floor. I am studying economics here at Pomona, and after graduation I plan to pursue Law school. My favorite time of year is the fall. Between the leaves falling, Halloween, and football season, there is no better time of year.

Hi, my name is Ziona she/her. My hope as a Campus Advocate is that people will feel supported in a way that makes them feel safe in their bodies after harm and also reduce harm by combating the structures that enforce dominance and violence amongst people. I’m an Africana Studies Major with a Concentration in Studio Fine Arts studying Fine Arts as a catalyst to Imaginative Justice and Spiritual Healing. In my free time I write poetry, paint, and take walks. My favorite time of year is the beginning of Fall, when the sun is still visible.
